About us
Passion
Founder Andreas Kulakowski has been an enthusiastic discoverer and researcher of everything that lives in water since his childhood. He started working on his own aquarium systems at an early age and successfully took part in "Jungend forscht" competitions. His studies in marine biotechnology took him to Bremerhaven, to the Alfred Wegener Institute and to various research projects in aquaculture. After completing his Master's degree at the Technical University of Braunschweig, he moved to Saarland, where he was part of an interdisciplinary team involved in the construction of Europe's largest saltwater fish farm. It was here that his ideas for innovative feeds for aquaculture and aquaristics matured.
Innovation
The "land-based marine food chain" is the integrated further development of today's aquaculture. algova sees itself as an essential part of this growth industry and offers a comprehensive product portfolio of aquatic raw materials. Based on many years of scientific research, algova is now able to produce oceanic phyto- and zooplankton independently from the sea on land - naturally under sterile GMP conditions and strictly controlled.
