Feeding Recommendation
First, shake the powder with water in a sealable container, then add as a concentrated solution. For green water culture of shrimp and fish larvae a dosage of 1 g per 100 l is ideal. For feeding corals in saltwater aquariums, we recommend a dosage of 0.5 - 1 g per 100 l daily. For feeding plankton (e.g. Artemia, rotifers…) 0.5 - 1 g per liter should be dosed. More should be added when the culture has notably lost green color.

Phytoplankton

Buy phytoplankton: Nannochloropsis freeze-dried
High-quality Nannochloropsis algae are produced in controlled and closed photobioreactors in strict compliance with GMP and HACCP guidelines. The phytoplankton algae are dehydrated and then gently freeze-dried. Anyone who buys phytoplankton produced according to these criteria can be sure of receiving a product that meets the highest standards of purity and quality. These standards guarantee that the phytoplankton food is free from impurities and provides a constant, high-quality source of nutrients. Due to its small particle size and high purity, the powder is particularly suitable for the production of green water cultures. It is ideal for rearing fish and shrimp larvae, as food for zooplankton and for filter-feeding organisms. Before you buy phytoplankton, it is worth knowing the many properties and benefits of this superfood.
Nannochloropsis algae: Nutrient-rich microorganisms for aquacultur
If you want to buy phytoplankton, then Nannochloropsis algae are a very good choice. These microalgae belong to the Eustigmatophyceae class and thrive in seawater and brackish water. They are characterized by their high growth rate and their content of valuable nutrients. The high content of omega-3 fatty acids, especially EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), is important for the health of fish and other marine life. In addition to omega-3 fatty acids, Nannochloropsis algae contain plenty of proteins and essential amino acids that allow aquarium inhabitants to grow and thrive. They are also an excellent source of vitamins (e.g. B vitamins) and minerals (e.g. iron, potassium and calcium). This makes them a nutrient-rich addition to the diet of your marine animals. To provide your aquatic inhabitants with the best nutrients from the ocean, it is worth buying phytoplankton.
Why buy phytoplankton produced according to GMP and HACCP guidelines?
By buying phytoplankton produced according to GMP and HACCP standards, you are investing in the well-being of your aquarium inhabitants. Nannochloropsis algae are produced in controlled and closed photobioreactors in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines. GMP ensures that the product is produced under hygienic conditions and that the quality remains consistently high, while HACCP provides a systematic approach to food safety by identifying and controlling potential hazards. These standards ensure that you can always buy high quality and safe phytoplankton. Learn more about us and our quality standards.

Phytoplankton, aquarium and co. - the advantages of Nannochloropsis
Many aquarists buy phytoplankton from Nannochloropsis algae. These are ideal for the production of green water cultures, which are widely used in aquaculture and aquaristics. Their small particle size and high nutrient content make them an ideal food for fish and shrimp larvae as well as for zooplankton such as artemia and rotifers. Nannochloropsis provide important nutrients that promote the growth and health of aquarium inhabitants, especially in the early stages of life. The algae can be easily processed and stored in powder form. The powder is simply mixed with water before use. Their adaptability to different environmental conditions makes them a versatile and efficient solution for various aquarium and aquaculture environments and as an addition to fish food. Buy Nannochloropsis phytoplankton for various aquatic inhabitants
If you decide to buy phytoplankton, you can optimally supply several aquarium inhabitants at the same time. The product is particularly rich in nutrients and has several advantages for different animal species:
Artemia, copepods, daphnia and rotifers: When keeping small crustaceans and copepods in your aquarium, it is absolutely worth buying phytoplankton. These crustacean and plankton species benefit enormously from Nannochloropsis algae. The high nutrient density and the content of essential omega-3 fatty acids promote their growth and health.
Mussels: Mussels filter their food from the water and need a constant source of nutrients. Phytoplankton offers a perfect solution as it is rich in proteins and vitamins to support the growth and vitality of mussels.
Corals and anemones: These delicate organisms need a balanced diet to thrive. You can boost the color and health of your SPS corals and anemones by purchasing and regularly feeding Nannochloropsis phytoplankton. The algae improve the water quality and contribute to a stable and healthy environment.
Dwarf shrimp: Phytoplankton is an excellent food source that is rich in protein and essential fatty acids. This promotes the growth of the shrimp and intensifies their natural color.

Feeding recommendation and phytoplankton dosage
Feeding SPS corals: Bought phytoplankton? Make sure to use it regularly to achieve the best possible results. In saltwater aquariums, we recommend a dosage of 0.5 grams to 1 gram of phytoplankton per 100 liters of water once a day. This amount promotes the intensity of the colors and the vitality of the corals.
Feeding plankton: For feeding plankton species such as artemia and rotifers, a dosage of 0.5 g to 1 g phytoplankton per liter of water is required. When the plankton culture has clearly lost its green color, it is time to top up to ensure that sufficient nutrients are present.
