Freshly hatched Artemia nauplii are a first-class live food for smaller aquarium fish, ornamental shrimps and corals. These nauplii are particularly suitable for rearing fish and shrimp larvae. Although the hatching of Artemia cysts is easy in itself, eggshells are left behind, which often have to be separated from the freshly hatched nauplii. Remaining eggshells can harbour germs that can cause disease outbreaks in fish larvae and impair their digestion. In extreme cases, this can even lead to death.
algova Artemia salt is a product of algova research. Thanks to our many years of experience in the hatching of various Artemia species, we have developed a pure and very effective Artemia salt. The composition of the salt is based on the natural environment of Artemia. Our salt is also free from unwanted metal ions, technical additives, anti-caking agents, separating agents and stabilisers. Our salt has an optimum pH value of 8.2 to 8.4, which enables a high hatching rate and a stable culture of nauplii. No additional pH buffer is required during incubation. The salt is suitable for any water, whether tap water, distilled water, demineralised water or osmosis water.
The question: what do Artemia nauplii eat? We can answer this directly with the purchase of the ArtemiaVita set: RotiBomb. RotiBomb is an innovative plankton food for the stable cultivation of Artemia, rotifers, daphnia and other live food. It contains a unique mixture of 3 microalgae species and 8 different highly active probiotic microorganisms. The high-quality ingredients enable efficient production of zooplankton. The combination of microalgae and probiotics provides important vitamins that increase the fertility of plankton. The probiotics contained in Rotibomb remove zooplankton waste products such as ammonium, nitrite and nitrate. This stabilises the culture and a high plankton density can be achieved. In addition, certain probiotic bacteria in RotiBomb inhibit the growth of harmful Vibrio bacteria. This reduces the risk of pathogens being transmitted to fish and shrimp through the live food.
We give the algova hatching guarantee on all our Artemia breeding sets. If nothing actually hatches when you use ArtemiaVita and our ArtemiaSalt, you will receive a replacement or your money back.
Hint
For maximum hatching, aerate ArtemiaVita aktiv in a funnel-shaped rearing set. Rearing in a hobby bowl or comparable non-aerated containers does not work.

We ship ArtemiaVita with UPS Express with integrated drop-off authorisation or DHL throughout Europe and other countries on request. You know best which delivery service delivers reliably in your region and can choose one of the two providers accordingly.
Shipping usually takes 1-2 days.
ATTENTION: Orders received from Wednesday afternoon onwards are usually not dispatched until the following Monday. Please contact us if you have kittens that cannot wait. We will check whether we can offer you an unscheduled dispatch.
ArtemiaVita comes to you chilled with ice packs. To avoid your parcel being left in a warehouse, a delivery vehicle or a shop over the weekend, we currently only ship from Monday to Wednesday.
Example: You order on Wednesday evening and your order will be dispatched on the following Monday. Please also always note the current delivery times that we specify.

Important first: Please make sure that you put ArtemiaVita in the freezer immediately after delivery.
We always adjust the amount of ice cream to the current weather and the shipping route so that it usually arrives well chilled. However, if the delivery service delays delivery and the bottle thaws or even gets warm - DON'T PANIC! ArtemiaVita can cope with short-term temperature fluctuations. This does not immediately affect the hatching rate. Current tests show that ArtemiaVita can be kept at 5 degrees for up to 6 months - without loss of hatching.
However, should unexpected problems with the slip rate occur, please contact us so that we can find a solution together.
