Aquaculture probiotic for stable production systems
Supports water quality, microbial stability, and biological balance in Biofloc, RAS, Hatchery, and Nursery systems
This highly concentrated bacterial concentrate was specially developed for use in modern aquaculture facilities.
The combination of Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis, and Pediococcus acidilactici supports biological processes in the water and promotes a stable microbial balance in intensively operated culture systems.
The product is particularly suitable for:
- Shrimp farms
- Biofloc systems
- RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems)
- Hatcheries
- Nursery systems
Target species are
- White Tiger Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei)
- Black Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon)
- Chinese White Shrimp (Fenneropenaeus chinensis)
Developed for stable production conditions
In intensive aquaculture systems, organic loads arise daily from:
- Feed residues
- Animal excretions
- Dead organic particles
- Metabolic products
If these organic substances are not sufficiently converted microbially, they can accumulate in the system and lead to unstable water conditions. This can also result in uncontrolled growth of pathogenic bacteria.
Another dangerous symptom is the spontaneous outbreak of hydrogen sulfide due to the accumulation of organic substances. This can lead to high mortality of the animals.
Specifically used microorganisms support the natural microbial processes in the water and help to biologically convert organic loads without endangering the health of the animals.
On the contrary, the selected probiotics produce substances that can suppress the growth of critical bacteria such as Vibrio. Especially during the start-up of systems, it can be crucial to support this phase with probiotics.
The product contains a combination of three functional bacteria:
Bacillus subtilis
Robust spore-forming microorganism involved in the degradation of organic residues and supports biological activity in the system.
Bacillus licheniformis
Supports microbial degradation processes and can contribute to the stabilization of biological cycles in water.
Pediococcus acidilactici
Lactic acid bacterium that complements microbial diversity and can contribute to the development of a stable microbial environment.
The combination of these microorganisms promotes active microbial competition in the system, thus supporting a balanced microbial equilibrium.
Designed for modern aquaculture systems
The product can be used in:
Biofloc systems
to support the microbial conversion of organic substances and stable microbial communities in the floc.
RAS systems
to promote stable biological processes in water and in the biofilter.
Hatchery systems
to stabilize microbial water quality in sensitive early developmental stages and increase survival rates of Zoea and Mysis.
Nursery systems
to support stable biological conditions during the rearing phase of post-larvae.
Liquid high-concentration formula with freezing storage
The product is manufactured as a highly concentrated liquid bacterial solution and stored at −18 °C. Advantages of this formulation are:
- very high bacterial concentration
- easy and precise dosing
- immediate distribution in water
- stable storage at −18 °C for up to 2 years
- no freezing and immediately dosable
- no dust and no clumping like with powder products
Freezing storage keeps microorganisms stable in the long term.
Simple application in farm operations
Standard application RAS
1 ml per 1m³ of water
1 application per week
Biofloc system
1 ml per 1m³ of water
2 applications per week
Start phase or increased load
1 ml per 1m³ of water daily
over several days.
Shake well before use.
Important Note
When using microbial products, always ensure adequate aeration and oxygen supply in the system.
Microorganisms biologically degrade organic substances and require oxygen to do so. Good mixing and aeration therefore support microbial processes in the culture system.
