Freshly hatched Artemia nauplii are a premium live food for smaller aquarium fish, ornamental shrimp, and corals. These nauplii are particularly suitable for raising fish and shrimp larvae. Although hatching Artemia cysts is simple, eggshells remain that often need to be painstakingly separated from the freshly hatched nauplii. Remaining eggshells can harbor germs that cause disease outbreaks in fish larvae and can impair their digestion. In extreme cases, it can even lead to death.
